me1After graduating with a marketing degree in 2001, Chris worked in the marketing departments of three multi national companies: Renault, GlaxoSmithKline and Continental Tyres (in the UK).  He then moved to the Republic of Ireland where he did business development and sales for a family SME business for 3.5 years.

Chris went to Malawi in Feb 2007 and started as a volunteer consultant with Micro Loan Foundation.  He found that the loan officers had limited knowledge of business management and thus where not able to advise MLF clients on how to improve their businesses.  He  designed a four tier training the trainers course.

In April 2010, Chris started working at www.millicom.com as Innovation Manager Africa - Microfinance where he built partnerships between the teleco and MFIs who wanted to use Mobile Money for new revenue opportunities, increase outreach and reduce operational and admin costs.

This valuable experince help Chris to decide to move back into consultancy in May 2011 so that he could assist MFIs and alike implement the benefits of MMT.
