MARS offers the only air ambulance service in Malawi and one of the few places that has the ability to do a full range of blood tests.  The business is growing quickly and looking to move into new premises.  As part of this expansion they are making internal operations more efficient and at the same time looking for new strategic partners and customers.

SKILLS Sports Complex

SKILLS is a concept for a sport complex in Lilongwe, Malawi. Currently there are no state of the art sporting facilities, which combine artificial turfs and floodlights. The main sport will be football, which is the national passion of Malawians, but the complex will also be used for football, basketball, volleyball etc. It will have a fully functioning bar, restaurant, and gym. Unlike some other sporting venues in Malawi, the SKILLS complex will be an active venue for the whole community, rather than limited to members only.

Hestian Rural Innovation Design

The company was formed to create a specific entity to lead a biomass energy conservation drive in Malawi. HRID’s primary objective is, to reduce deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions in Malawi, through the promotion of energy efficient technologies such as the small-scale tobacco curing barns, that greatly reduces the amount of non-renewable biomass (wood) used to fuel tobacco curing.  With a more efficient barn, farmers can reduce wood-fuel costs by up to US$200 p.a. and can increase quality / price by 28% and yields by 11%.

Trash It UP

Whilst techniques and legislation are constantly evolving to improve Malawi’s waste management performance, so are the volumes of waste that are being produced at household and industrial levels. Trash It Up, is looking at this new problem and has seen a business opportunity to provide new waste management solutions, which will benefit: individuals, the council and cities as a whole.

LMRC is a private sector business that is involved in agri dealing, both selling inputs and buying outputs to be sold on the national and international markets.
